I'm experimenting with new ways to transform the nail polish I already own. While mixing colors sounds like fun, sometimes it's a little too much work for me. Tonight, for instance, after a long day of studying for finals all I wanted to do was drink wine, watch Mad Men, and quickly do my nails. So in an attempt to save money, not only did I do my own nails tonight, I also invested in what has become my new obsession:
Essie's Matte About You.
It's a top coat that results in a matted finish while it dries. The actual nail polish I used was Zoya's Cassi. To prep my nails I used Essie's Disappearing Trick cuticle remover and it worked quite well. :) I actually prefer the matted finish to the shade by itself. The results:
